THE NUNHEAD FOX
Year of production: 2014
Location: Nunhead Green, London, SE15 3QF
The Nunhead Fox was commissioned by Southwark Council as part of the regeneration of Nunhead Green (they wanted something to reflect the wildlife of the area). It is carved from one single piece of Oak. Using the natural shape of the branches it was possible to carve the legs of the fox without joining additional pieces of timber. If you look closely at the curve of the grain around the legs you'll see that straight away.
